With looks like this you would probably want to keep this moody moggy hidden indoors.

But remarkably this Don Sphynx cat - who looks not dissimilar to ET and a Gremlin - has been drawing hundreds of admirers at a cat show.

The scary looking feline - who judging from this photo was having a really bad day - was showcased in Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan in March 2012.

About 100 animals from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan took part in the event, giving owners the chance to show off their weird and wonderful pets.

This cross kitty turned heads with his teeth shaped like four fangs and a blood red tongue.

With black wrinkly skin he also showed off his piercing green and black eyes and ears pricked and alert like horns.

Despite his unfortunate looks a delighted blonde behind him is clearly relishing his five minutes in the spotlight.

Surprisingly they are described as affectionate, playful and sociable as well as highly intelligent.

The Don Sphynx is hairless and is of Russian origin. The breed first emerged in 1987 in the city of Rostov-on-Don in Russia.

Elena Kovaleva, a professor of the State Pedagogical Institute, discovered some young boys playing football with a bag. Inside the bag was a terrified kitten who she took home and adopted but the cat grew up losing her hair and went on to give birth to hairless kittens.

猫咪已经成为家里的新成员了，更是集三千宠爱于一身，但要如何照顾它呢？眼睛如何保养？耳朵如何保养？皮毛如何保养？什么样的状况须要送医就诊？有什么样的状况可以先居家紧急处理？家中应准备哪些居家必备良药呢？不知道吧！就让我慢慢告诉你们吧。

眼睛

正常的状况下眼睛是会有分泌物的，至于什么是正常？什么是异常？实在很很难用文字来形容，但请记得一个原则，如果眼睛有发红、流泪、畏光、瞇眼、模糊、脓样分泌物等，就代表有眼睛的疾病发生了，最好尽快就医诊治；如果无法实时送医，或半夜孤助无援时，如果你早有准备好下列东西，就可以先做初步的处理，第一就是不含类固醇的抗生素眼药水或眼药膏，当然这是必须向兽医师购买的，第二就是生理食盐水，相信戴隐形眼镜的人都会有这玩意的，不然去药局买一瓶，顶多几十元而已，第三就是绵花团块，也是药局可以购得的。紧急状况时，可以使用小绵块沾生理食盐水来轻柔地清除眼内外的分泌物，清完后再用干的绵团将眼睛周围的毛轻柔地擦干，但请记得，开封过的生理食盐水并非是无菌，且不具杀菌功能，所以最后必须滴用不含类固醇的眼药水来进行杀菌的工作，并且可以每两小时滴用一次。如果猫咪有畏光、流泪、瞇眼状况时，应让猫处在黑暗的环境中，以避免光源造成眼睛进一步的刺激。最后，最后，千万别以为自己这样就出师了，还是得尽速就医确诊的。

耳朵

正常的耳朵是会有分泌物的，而且会因为猫咪甩头而甩到外耳壳内的，要如何确认耳朵的分泌物是否正常，这是兽医师的工作，千万别因此拿棉花棒乱挖一通，临床上最常遇见的耳朵疾病，除了耳疥虫之外，就是畜主不当清理所造成的伤害。猫的外耳道呈L型，而且耳道管径并不大，如果用一般的绵花棒伸入清理耳垢，其实只会将耳垢更往深部推进，而且猫咪会因疼痛而挣扎，就在这样的不当的清理及挣扎反抗下，不尽伤了感情，也伤了耳道，轻则破皮发炎，严重的就耳道积脓。再者，耳道是有分泌腺体的，不断地以棉棒刺激下，就会不断地旺盛分泌，所以畜主常会抱怨说越清越脏，其实，不脏才怪! 居家的耳朵必备良药就是广效性的点耳滴剂及洗耳水，前者必须经由兽医师建议处方，后者最好是自己到兽医院或宠物店挑选，最好挑选水性、不含酒精者，滴一滴闻看看、摸摸看就知道了。

正确的耳朵清理：滴数滴洗耳水到耳道内，并按摩耳根部，让洗耳水充份溶解耳垢，之后，猫咪一定会拼命甩头，这样的离心力就会让耳垢轻易地甩到外耳壳，再用卫生纸将甩出的耳垢擦干净，细部的就可以用绵花棒清理，但切记，清你眼睛所能见的，其余免谈。

耳朵急性发炎时，猫咪会甩头、斜头、搔耳，此时就应就医，如果无法实时送医，或半夜孤助无援时，备用的广效性耳药就必须派上用场，记得使用前先摇匀，才能有药效，就只要滴用就好，并轻柔耳根部，千万别尝试清理，否则可能会导致严重发炎跟疼痛的，还是老话一句，记得送医确诊治疗。

【英文類】How To Trim Your Cat's Claws - Including Photos

Learning to trim your cat's claws will help prevent  your furniture from being damaged & save you money by avoiding having to take your cat to a vet or pet groomer when it needs it's claws trimmed.

It is recommended you get a cat used to having it's feet handled from an early age. This can be done by gently massaging your cat's feet. Some of my cats are less than thrilled at having their claws trimmed, in such a case I recommend you only trim a couple of claws per session, or do as I sometimes do & gently trim then when the cat is napping. If you have a particularly reluctant cat, there is a product called Felifriend you could try. This is a synthetic pheromone you spray on your hands, it may assist in  calming your cat down.

• Hold the cat's paw in your hand with your fingers on the underside & your thumb on the top.

• Gently apply a forward pressure to one toe. This causes the claw to come out of the sheath, which makes it more visible.

Notice how in the middle of the claw is pink, this is the quick & it contains blood & nerves. This must NOT be cut as it will cause pain & bleeding. If you do accidentally cut this, apply a styptic pencil Silver Nitrate sticks or Potassium of Permaganate to the claw to stop the bleeding. If you don't have these products, ordinary household flour will do.  The claw should stop bleeding in about 5 minutes.

There are several kinds of nail clippers you can use. I use regular nail clippers for humans, but you can also purchase clippers specifically for cat's claws, these should be available from your vet or pet supply shop. Nail clippers should be very sharp as blunt ones will crush the nail, not cut it.

Some people trim their cat's back claws, I don't, this is because my cat's tend to wear their back claws down naturally.
